Professor Constantine Campbell

Constantine R. Campbell (PhD, Macquarie University, 2007), has been Professor of Biblical
Studies since 2022 and Research Director at the Sydney College of Divinity since 2023.
Formerly he was Professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Illinois,
USA) and Senior Lecturer in New Testament and Greek at Moore Theological College
(Sydney, Australia).

His doctorate is in Ancient Greek language and linguistics as it applies to
the era of the New Testament. Professor Campbell is the author of 17 books, with focus on
Ancient Greek, New Testament interpretation, the apostle Paul, and the contemporary
church. His book Paul and Union with Christ was the 2014 Christianity Today Book of the
Year in Biblical Studies. His latest releases are Jesus v. Evangelicals (Zondervan Reflective,
2023) and The Letter to the Ephesians. Pillar New Testament Commentary Series (Eerdmans 2023).
Professor Campbell was co-chair of the Biblical Greek Language and Linguistics section of
the Society of Biblical Literature, and is an Associate Editor of the Zondervan Exegetical
Commentary series. He is an elected member of the Society of New Testament Studies.

Professor Campbell is also a highly regarded jazz saxophonist and is a visiting instructor at
the Australian National University School of Music. He is the presenter of two documentary
series on the apostles Paul and Peter.
