International Students

Applications for International Students

This section of the website is for International Students looking to study with Sydney College of Divinity at one of our Member Colleges in Australia. You will also need to refer to the ‘Apply’ section for the admission process, entry requirements, the Student Handbook, and SCD policies.

Sydney College of Divinity, CRICOS Provider code 02948J, is registered with the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). Registration on CRICOS allows Sydney College of Divinity to offer courses to overseas students studying, or intending to study, in Australia on student visas.

We welcome overseas students and provide a positive environment of study and care through our teaching institutions that are located at various places.

Who is an international student?

International students are those students who chose to undertake their tertiary education in a country other than their own and move to that country for the purpose of studying.

In Australia you are considered to be an international student if:

  • You are not an Australian citizen,
  • You are not an Australian permanent resident,
  • You are not a New Zealand citizen, or
  • You are not a holder of an Australian permanent resident humanitarian visa.

Sydney College of Divinity does not use agents to recruit and/or administer overseas students. Students must make a direct submission.

If you are considering joining at the beginning of an academic year, we advise that you start the course application process 5-6 months ahead to ensure that you have sufficient time to explore your options, receive a Confirmation of Enrolment, apply for your visa, and make arrangements to live and study in Australia.
