‘Letters of Recommendation…From You’ (2 Corinthians 3.1): A Case of Theological Piracy
Paul’s words reflect a highly intentional mission to capture the churches of Paul’s mission. Once captured, the church in Corinth was to be a springboard to seize the churches of Paul around the Aegean. The paper will discuss ‘letters of introduction’, the likely senders of these emissaries to Corinth, and what was being attempted to achieve.
