Dr Rowan Lewis

Head of Pastoral Theology, ACOM (Australian College of Ministry)
BCom (Hon), MCS, Phd

Rowan joined ACOM as the head of Pastoral Theology in 2021. As a practical theologian, his research interests focus on the intersection of social sciences and theology. Rowan’s early work examined the ways in which change management and conflict transformation can inform ministry practice. More recently he has focused upon psychological studies and human development and the implications these have for faith formation and pastoral practice. This culminated in a PhD that examined the experiences of emerging adults amidst significant spiritual transition and faith crisis. Over the last 15 years, he has created and led formation programs for youth and young adults, while also contributing to the International Association for the Study of Youth Ministry (Australian and New Zealand).
