Dr Maggie Kappelhoff joined the Sydney College of Divinity as its Executive Dean in January 2022.
She holds a PhD in systematic theology from Charles Sturt University and St Marks National
Theological Centre in Canberra, and other qualifications in Theology, Social Work and Higher
Education. In addition, she is currently studying a Master of Business Administration at Southern
Cross University.


Maggie has over seven years of experience in higher education academic leadership, governance
and management including curriculum design/review, student support, scholarship and research,
academic quality assurance, compliance and academic systems management. Before coming to SCD,
Maggie worked at the University of Divinity in various roles including Dean of Academic Programs,
Director of Academic Services and Academic Quality Manager. Prior to that she also held roles at the
Jesuit College of Spirituality (Academic Dean and Research Coordinator) and Australian College of
Ministries (Associate Dean of Learning and Teaching, Spiritual Formation Program Coordinator).

Her work at the Sydney College of Divinity includes working collaboratively as a member of the senior
management team leading and implementing strategic initiatives, with a special interest in the
development and maintenance of good governance systems.
