Transformation in Community
The unit Transformation in Community explores how spiritual formation takes place over time, with others, in the context of disciplines and practices that open the individual to God. The student will gain an appreciation for engaging in community as an instrument of God’s grace and a necessary element of leading transformation in others.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of the unit students should be able to:
- critically examine why participation with others is an essential aspect of spiritual formation
- critique the contribution of kingdom postures in community transformation
- analyse, in the light of relevant literature, the way(s) in which community helps shape engagement with spiritual practices
- integrate community postures and practices in such a way as to enrich service and leadership
- develop an action-based community practice in a particular ministry context.
