This course unit permits students to design and implement a focused study of their own choosing in consultation with the lecturer.

Prerequisites

18 Credit points of D units, including D8501 Principles of Theological Education.
Current or previous experience as a theological educator in the tertiary sector (GCThEd Regulations, 1.1.3).

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this unit students will be able to:

  1. review a wide range of literature pertinent to the selected study focus;
  2. explore in depth a theological educational theme or issue arising from that literature;
  3. evaluate the practice(s) associated with the theme or issue in historical or contemporary settings;
  4. examine the possibilities and limitations of applying the theme or issue in a specific professional context;
  5. develop a strategy for incorporating the learning of the study to their personal professional development.
