The unit Theological Education Focused Study provides students with an opportunity to explore in greater depth a topic suggested by a course unit. It is an Elective Unit in the Graduate Certificate of Theological Education.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this unit students will be able to:

  1. Review a wide range of literature pertinent to the selected study focus
  2. Explore in depth a theological educational theme or issue arising from that literature;
  3. Evaluate the practice(s) associated with the theme or issue in historical or contemporary settings
  4. Examine the possibilities and limitations of applying the theme or issue in a specific professional context
  5. Develop a strategy for incorporating the learning of the study into their personal professional development.
