Learning Outcomes

At the end of this unit students will be able to:

  1. Establish principles for developing authentic Christian worship that are theologically sound and culturally relevant
  2. Analyse major challenges to and pressures on Christian worship arising from contemporary society
  3. Evaluate theologically the responses of contemporary Christian worship practices to emerging cultural pressures
  4. Evaluate the role of contemporary resources and media in the performance of Christian worship
  5. Construct creative worship times incorporating variations in style and structure that are faithful to their theological tradition while engaging the pastoral needs of the congregation.
