Learning Outcomes

At the end of this unit students will be able to:

  1. Present sophisticated insights into the cultural dynamics of their specific setting in relation to their production of sermons
  2. Articulate and defend an integrated hermeneutical system to govern the preparation and delivery of culturally appropriate sermons in a variety of social and cultural settings
  3. Evaluate the impact of a range of sermons delivered in diverse cultural contexts
  4. Create a range of sermons utilising the specific hermeneutical and cultural insights acquired
  5. Apply the acquired insights and skills to the delivery of sermons that effectively promote worship and spiritual formation in culturally appropriate ways.
