Philosophical Theology
The advanced unit Philosophical Theology will allow the student to address fundamental issues in philosophical theology, including the nature of God, freedom and grace, time and eternity, providence and evil. Within the SCD curriculum, it is an elective unit and forms part of a Specialisation in Philosophy.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of this unit students will be able to:
- Expound the philosophical presuppositions and implications of important issues in Christian theology
- Evaluate major contemporary approaches to philosophical reflection on the nature of God
- Analyse various philosophical and theological perspectives on fundamental issues in religious faith
- Analyse aspects of the Christian mystery by means of philosophical inquiry
- Establish a personal philosophical approach to a central issue in philosophical theology.
