Learning Outcomes

Upon the successful completion of this unit the student will be able to:

  1. Articulate a stewardship resource theology to the management of the not-for-profit entity (eg a local church, denomination, hospital, welfare agency, advocacy group, religious school etc);
  2. Identify sustainable income sources including fundraising, social enterprises, long and short term debt finance;
  3. Prepare Budgets and Cash Flow Statements;
  4. Analyse and interpret financial statements in recommending financial management decisions;
  5. Apply appropriate tools and systems in responsible financial management of resources, budgeting and reviews, including the application of the Auditing Standards and not-for-profit reporting.
