Learning Outcomes

Upon the successful completion of this unit the student will be able to:

  1. Articulate a stewardship resource theology to the management of the not-for-profit entity (eg a local church, denomination, hospital, welfare agency, advocacy group, religious school etc)
  2. Identify sustainable income sources including fundraising, social enterprises, long and short term debt finance
  3. Prepare Budgets and Cash Flow Statements
  4. Prepare, analyse and interpret financial statements in recommending financial management decisions involving complex transactions
  5. Apply appropriate tools and systems in responsible financial management of resources, budgeting and reviews, including the application of the Auditing Standards and not-for-profit reporting.
