At the end of this unit students will be able to:
- Articulate basic principles of effective pastoral counselling
- Identify various components of the pastoral counselling relationship
- Analyse a variety of counselling situations typically encountered in a pastoral context
- Employ effective basic listening kills
- Apply the skills of pastoral counselling in a practical situation
- Know how to set personal boundaries.
