Learning Outcomes
Upon the successful completion of this unit the student will be able to:
- Give an account of the environment of accounting generally and within the non-profit religious sector in Australia (e.g., a local church, denomination, hospital, welfare agency, advocacy group, school, etc.)
- Explain the application and requirements of the accounting framework including the Australian Accounting Standards and Auditing Standards
- Reflect personally on how God works effectively through those with the gift of administration
- Prepare, analyse and interpret financial statements applicable to a small to a medium non-profit religious organisation in Australia (Balance Sheet, Income and Expenditure Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows)
- Apply the use of administrative data to effectively pursue mission and ministry.
