Fees and Funding Information

Tuition fees

The fees for 2021 for an HDR award are $3,670 part-time per semester and $7,640 full-time per semester. Fees are the same for domestic and international students. Fees may be subject to increase every academic year.

Australian citizens and holders of permanent humanitarian visas are generally entitled to apply for FEE-HELP, the Australian government loan scheme that assists eligible full fee paying students pay their tuition fees. Sydney College of Divinity is an approved higher education provider and our students may be eligible for a FEE-HELP loan to pay part or all of your tuition fees. A FEE-HELP loan does not cover costs like accommodation, laptops or text books. Students enrolled in a postgraduate study (including higher degrees by research) are not required to pay a loan fee on FEE-HELP loan. From 1 January 2021, it is compulsory for new students commencing in 2021 to apply for and obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI) in order to be eligible for a HELP loan.

International students can’t get any Australian government loan to cover their tuition fees.

Fee paying students, who are not eligible for FEE-HELP, may be able to secure payment plans with the Sydney College of Divinity Graduate Research School. Students should discuss this with the Research Director before the admission application is submitted.
