The Undergraduate CertMin provides opportunity to gain knowledge and skills appropriate for engagement in practical Christian ministry within a limited scope.

Diploma of Ministry (DipMin)

The DipMin provides the opportunity to study in practical ministry oriented disciplines. It is designed for those with less formal qualifications, or for those who want a smaller study load.

Postgraduate (Coursework)


Postgraduate coursework gives you the scope to develop subject matter expertise in an area you’re passionate about. It consists of units of study that are taught in a similar format to undergraduate learning, such as lectures, tutorials, assignments and exams.

Postgraduate (Research)


The Sydney College of Divinity is an excellent research centre, and a leading intellectual and creative resource to the communities it serves. It is characterised by a broad and balanced application of learning which focuses on preparing the next generation of Christian teachers and scholars. The Sydney College of Divinity aims to ‘encourage theological scholarship which is ecumenically sensitive and relevant to issues of culture and society in Australia and Oceania.’

Postgraduate Research provides the opportunity for professional development in ministry at the highest academic level and thereby, through a period of systematic reflection on the practice of ministry and by a critical, creative and academically informed investigation, to make a distinct contribution to the profession.

Master of Philosophy (MPhil)

The MPhil is undertaken by research and thesis. It provides the opportunity to embark on research, which investigates a theologically related topic.

Fees: Full-time is $7,340 per semester | Part-time is $3,670 per semester

Duration: 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time

Doctor of Ministry (DMin)

The DMin provides the opportunity to pursue advanced study in Christian Life and Ministry by research at the highest academic level in the context of professional practice, with supporting specialist coursework.

Fees: Full-time is $7,340 per semester | Part-time is $3,670 per semester

Duration: 3-4 years full-time or 6-8 years part-time

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

PhD candidates embark on a significant piece of research which investigates a theologically related topic in a systematic, creative and comprehensive manner that is not available in coursework programs.

Fees: Full-time is $7,340 per semester | Part- time is $3,670 per semester

Undergraduate (Korean)


The Sydney College of Divinity Korean School of Theology provides the opportunity to study theology in the Korean language in Australia and graduate with a degree recognised within Australia and internationally.

The awards are approved for both local and international students, and are suitable for Koreans
– who do not have the language qualification to undertake these studies in English
– who prefer to study in their first language.

At the Korean School of Theology our flexible courses offer a range of online and on-campus options, with locations in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
